John-Paul Birss (@jpbirss) joins the cast of Aladdin this Christmas as the Emperor of Old Peking, ruler of the land and the very proud father of Princess Jasmine.
A Merseyside talent through and through, John-Paul has performed in the West End in the 25th anniversary cast of MAMMA MIA!, sung at the Royal Albert Hall in Magic at the Musicals and appeared on screen in Peaky Blinders and Netflix`s House of Guinness. Liverpool audiences may also remember him from The Scouse Christmas Carol at the Royal Court 🎶
Now he is bringing that big voice and plenty of royal presence to the coast. With a wicked sorcerer prowling the palace and a certain lad from the laundry setting his sights on the princess, the Emperor has his hands full this year 🧞♂️✨

New Brighton, meet your Spirit of the Ring 💍
Rosie Royle is joining the cast of Aladdin at the Floral Pavilion this Christmas in her very first principal role.
Panto runs in the family. Rosie has spent many festive seasons on stage at the Blackpool Grand with her dad, Steve Royle, the Britain`s Got Talent finalist named Best Comic at the 2025 Pantomime Awards. After years of learning from one of the best in the business, this year it is Rosie`s turn to step into the spotlight ✨
As the Spirit of the Ring, Rosie will help Aladdin outwit the wicked Abanazar and keep the magic firmly on the side of good 🧞
Steve will be cheering from Blackpool, where he is back as Silly Simon in Jack and the Beanstalk. But this Christmas the Royle family name is shining on the Wirral too 👑

Samara Rawlins (@samara.rawlins) is joining the cast of Aladdin at Malvern Theatres as Princess Jasmine 👑
Samara has played the role in panto before and took on Maid Marian at Corn Exchange Newbury last Christmas, with featured vocalist spots at the Thursford Christmas Spectacular along the way.
Jasmine has a mind of her own and a palace that cannot hold her, and the arrival of a certain street thief is about to change everything. Samara steps into the role this Christmas ready to win over every seat in the house.

Claire originated the role of Mary Patrick in Sister Act The Musical at the London Palladium, performing at the Royal Variety Performance and recording the Original Cast Album. Credits also include Alternate Rosie in the International Tour of Mamma Mia!, so Malvern is in for a proper treat.

Aaron Pryce-Lewis joins the cast of Beauty and the Beast at The Anvil this Christmas, taking on the dual role of Prince/Beast opposite Ellie Dadd`s Belle. Credits include Les Misérables and The Phantom of the Opera, two of the West End`s biggest titles, swapping the barricades and the Paris Opera House for an enchanted castle this festive season.

Bournemouth Pavilion has found its Aladdin 🧞
We are delighted to announce that rising star Dante Nardone will take on the title role in this year`s pantomime, marking his professional pantomime debut. Trained at the prestigious ArtsEd, Dante is stepping straight from drama school into one of pantomime`s biggest roles, and he has the charisma to match.
Dante joins the previously announced company: James Cartwright as the wicked Abanazar, Bournemouth favourite Noel Brodie returning as Wishee Washee for his twelfth year, panto legend Jamie Steen as Widow Twankey and Kristel Herrera as Princess Jasmine.
Charming, courageous and full of ambition, Aladdin is one of pantomime`s best-loved heroes, and this Christmas Dante is set to bring fresh energy and star quality to Bournemouth Pavilion.
Aladdin runs at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre from Saturday 5 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027.
