Robert Traynor

Robert trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Theatre credits include: Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance, Pooh Bah in The Mikado, Don Alfonso in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, Pistol in Verdi’s Falstaff, title roles in Don Pasquale and Prince Igor, Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd, Van Helsing in Dracula and Emile de Beque in South Pacific.

Pantomimes include: Mother Goose at Kirkcaldy and Hereford; the Emperor in Aladdin; two years at Plymouth; plus Woking and Brighton. 2006 saw Robert join the company of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium and he followed this playing the comic role of Boris the Spy in a tour of the UK, which lasted over a year.

Last Christmas Robert played the Ghost of Christmas Past in the touring production of Scrooge with Shane Richie and then went to Stoke to play a leading role in the opera Don Giovanni. He comes to this production direct from Hereford where he played the Baron in Jack and the Beanstalk.
