Ashley Oliver

Ashley hails from Glasgow where, at the age of 10, she made her professional debut in McScrooge at the Pavilion Theatre. She attended the Dance School of Scotland under the direction of Graham Dickie until at the age of 18. Ashley was awarded a DADA scholarship to study at Mountview Theatre Arts where she gained a BA honours degree in Musical Theatre. Roles whilst training include: Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream; Rosa in Hush; Linda English in Pal Joey; Sally Bowles in Cabaret and Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar.

Most recently, Ashley played Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at Epsom Playhouse.

Other recent theatre credits include: lead vocalist in Mad About the Musicals (national tour), Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz (Music Hall, Shrewsbury); Ensign Benson and Pain in Hercules all for Disney Cruise Line.

Recordings: Mad About the Musicals (2006); Annie in the concept album of a new musical, Whitechapel.

In 2006, Ashley featured in a commercial stills photo shoot for Bishops Finger Beer (David Stewart Photography), additionally she shot the leading role in a Scottish soap opera and recorded a voice-over for Spiral Productions which can be heard in the Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow.
