Toby Dale is a native Londoner and was brought up in an acting and musical family. He trained at the Questors Theatre School and the Actors Institute in London.
He has played many characters in numerous theatre plays over the years, most notably: Shaun in A Night in Provence, directed by Ian Masters (the Mill, Sonning); Craze in A Passionate Woman, directed by Ned Sherrin (national tour); Tony Muller in On the Piste, directed by Bob Tomson (national tour); Kit Marlowe in Marlowe, directed by Gavin Leary (Mermaid Theatre); Jarvis in Hungry Ghosts, directed by Phillip Kingston (Tabard Theatre). Anger, A Day in the Death of Joe
Egg and Bent.
Films and television include: Inquisitor in Carry On Columbus, directed by Gerald Thomas; Martin in Do You Take Sugar?, directed by Catrin Strong; Luke in In the Picture, directed by Viv Cousins; That Man in Ticket to Glory, directed by David Greer and the Bat in The Bat Poet, directed by Catrin Strong.
Toby is currently working on his first book for children and is also writing and filming comedy ideas for television.
This is the first time he has played a Russian Constable, but this is not for the want of trying.
