Michelle Cornelius

Michelle was born in London and trained at the Rambert School for Ballet and Contemporary Dance. Her musical theatre credits include: ensemble and the role of Nehebka in Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida (original German cast, Disney Theatricals); lead Marvelette, Supreme and also played the roles of Martha Reeves and Gladys Knight on numerous occasions in Dancing in the Streets (UK tour); dancer and Minnie in Minnie the Moocher, I Can’t Stop Loving You – the Music of Ray Charles (USA tour); tribe member and the role of Abraham Lincoln in Hair (Vereinigten Buhnen, Wien). Opera credits include: Arbates attendant in Mozart’s Mitridate Re di Ponte (Royal Opera House); dancer, ensemble in Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess (Bregenz Festival); Corps de Ballet in Verdi’s Aida (Earls Court, London); revolutionary nun in Gaddiffi a Living Myth (English National Opera); Corps de Ballet in Mozart’s Idomeneo (De Vlaamse Opera). Television credits include: commercial campaign model, Closer Look 2 Ford Cars Salsa Dancer in Auf Wiedersehen Pet (BBC); wedding planner in Footballers’ Wives (Shed Productions); dancer in The Eurovision Song Contest (BBC); Mummy Badger in Bill Oddie’s Wildlife in Your Garden (ident BBC).
