David was born and raised in Bedford. He trained at Mountview Theatre School, graduating in 2002. Whilst in training his credits included Daniel in Once on This Island, Ritchie in A Chorus Line and Tommy in Annie Get Your Gun.
Since leaving Mountview, David has been fortunate enough to appear in national tours of Godspell, as swing, Steve in Summer Holiday and, most recently, as Cordell Hull in Annie. In 2005 he was part of the very successful Malaysian tour of Oliver!, after which he appeared as Yonkers in the acclaimed production of Gypsy at the Dundee Rep Theatre. David then went on to create the role of Eddie/Freak in a brand new production written by the Heather Brothers called Teen Scream, which transferred to the Edinburgh Festival. David has also been involved in several pantomimes: Cinderella at the Gordon Craig Theatre, Stevenage; Beauty and the Beast, Treasure Island and the Pirates of the Caribbean and Sleeping Beauty, all at the Theatre Royal, Lincoln.
