Stephen Whitson

Stephen was born in Edinburgh and trained at the Arts Educational Schools London. Prior to this, he trained at the London Studio Centre and the Dance School of Scotland, where he won the Musical Theatre Award.

Theatre includes: understudy Billy Flynn in Chicago (UK tour); understudy and played Prince Charming in Cinderella the Musical (Southampton Mayflower Theatre); William in On Eagle’s Wing (original Irish tour cast); understudy and played Boris in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (UK tour); Sergeant Fogarty and Martin Harrison in Chicago (KLCC, Malaysia); Scott and Donald Dinsmore in the West End production of The Producers (Theatre Royal Drury Lane and original UK tour cast) and Diesel in West Side Story (Pitlochry Festival Theatre).

Television and film includes: the returning character Andrew in Stacy Stone (series two, BBC); James in A New Man (JD Productions) and performing for the Queen in the World War II 60th Anniversary: Festival of Commemoration (Horse Guards Parade and BBC).

Recordings include: Frank Hamer/Big Ed in the recording of Bonnie and Clyde: a New Musical and a recording of the forthcoming stage production of It’s a Wonderful Life.
