Alex Weatherhill

Alex divides his time between performing, arranging and recording. In 2006 he released an album, My Other Voice, of classical crossover material using his unusual counter-tenor range.
Previous theatre credits include: Buttercup/ Josephine/Cousin Hebe in the all-male HMS Pinafore (Union Theatre); soloist in Last Night of the Proms and The Christmas Spectacular (Thursford); Frederick in The Pirates of Penzance; Mary Sunshine in Chicago (Adelphi); Riff in West Side Story; cover Jesus/ Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar; Mole in The Wind in the Willows; Vasek in The Bartered Bride and Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus. He has appeared in production shows at the Spa Theatre, Scarborough, the Swan Theatre, Worcester, on tour in Cyprus and in a very large tent in the middle of a safari park! As a cabaret artist, Alex has performed all over the UK and Europe including celebrity parties and guest work on cruise ships. As a session singer he has performed with PJ Proby, Billie Davis, American Trilogy (tribute show), The Elvis Experience and has recorded for Voiceworks International (voice tuition CDs) as well as various concept recordings for new musical theatre pieces.
As a director and musical director his credits include: Annie Get Your Gun (Union Theatre); Concert 2K (theatre tour); Stage and Screen/An Evening of Entertainment (Swan Theatre, Worcester) and A British Cabaret (Berkley Castle). He is now producing theatrical cabaret shows (After All That Jazz – a tribute to Kander and Ebb, Swing It on Broadway and An Evening of Elegance) using top West End artistes.
