Before joining Carousel Sam headlined the national tour of BOOGIE NIGHTS playing the lead role of Roddy. Other theatre includes SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS in which he played the lead role of Adam Pontipe’ and Fergal in WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF HRT at The Belgrade Theatre Coventry. Sam is most recognisable from his role as Peter Phelan, the philandering hairdresser in BROOKSIDE, in which he featured for over two years and from his acclaimed character Gary Adams in CORONATION STREET. After graduating from the Liverpool Theatre School with honours Sam started his career in BREAD playing the role of a TV Producer.

Sam then joined the No. 1 tour throughout the UK and Japan, of Roger and Hammerstein’s, SOUTH PACIFIC, starring Gemma Craven, Then enjoyed returning to musicals as Jigger Craigin in Carousel alongside Darren Day in the 2001 National tour.

Singing is a big part of Sam’s career and he was delighted to be asked to appear with London Philharmonic Orchestra in a “Valentine’s Day Concert” both at the Barbican, London and The Birmingham Symphony Hall.

In parallel to his acting career, Sam has also presented for shows such as SOAP FEVER for Granada Television to regular appearances on the TV TRAVEL SHOP. Sam was also the boy’s team captain on Channel 5’s popular show NIGHT FEVER for four series. Other shows Sam has appeared on include BLANKETY BLANK, WISH YOU WERE HERE and the Celebrity Christmas Special of GLADIATORS.

Sam has enjoyed numerous pantomimes during the Christmas Seasons such as SNOW WHITE, GOLDILOCKS & THE THREE BEARS and ROBIN HOOD. Sam is delighted to be once again directing and appearing alongside his wife Linda Lusardi in Snow White at the Churchill Theatre Bromley for the 2003/04 pantomime.
