Nicholas Charters

Nicholas trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

He recently completed two years in the UK number one tour of Beauty and the Beast, in the role of Monsieur Darque. Prior to this he toured Blood Brothers in which he played the oliceman/Teacher, alongside Linda Nolan. Prior to this he was in the first year of the current Cats tour covering the roles of Old Deuteronomy and Gus the Theatre Cat/Growltiger, which he played on many occasions. Nick played the title role in the number one tour of the Happy Birthday Postman Pat stage show, celebrating the popular character’s 20th year!

Other experience includes: Mr Snow in Carousel, Miles Gloriosus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Max Detweiller in The Sound of Music, Lord Battersby in Me and My Girl and Steve in Hair (all for Bruce James Productions); Emperor of China, understudy Abanazar in Aladdin for Qdos; Ugly Sister in Cinderella, new production; Turkey/Greylag in Honk!, at the Landor; actor/MD in The Magic Storybook for Solent Peoples Theatre; Sir Benjamin Backbite in The School for Scandal; Beadle Bamford in Sweeney Todd; Prospero in Tempest-a New Age Musical; Dennis Neilsen in Black and Blue; Uncle Smelicue in Dark of the Moon; Captain Dobbin in Vanity Fair (Covent Garden Festival-also recording).
